Members and Friends, you are cordially invited to get into the holiday “spirit” by joining us for a whisky tasting dinner event at McCormack’s Big Whisky Grill.  Owner ”Mac” McCormack is passionate about whisky and is excited to open his doors to the Women’s Wine Society for a Tour of the World of Whisky.  He promises a high quality and fun experience and after speaking with him personally, we believe it!  He’s knowledgeable, interesting, enthusiastic and has the largest collection of spirits in Virginia.  Ranked best bourbon bar in the nation multiple years in a row.  Here are the details:

The all-inclusive price provides 3 special whiskies not commonly available for purchase (and personally selected by Mac), a full buffet dinner, and whisky education provided by Mac himself.

Dinner will include a plated salad and a buffet of prime rib, Sockeye salmon Florentine, chicken/mushroom gravy, cheddar potatoes, roasted spaghetti squash & basmati rice.  WWS will provide cookies/brownies for dessert.

As always, in the spirit of enjoying holiday festivities together, our December bonus event is a co-ed event and you are encouraged to bring your spouse, significant other or good friends. To be as fair as possible and encourage guest participation, we have set the “member” price for this event below cost and reduced the “non-member” upcharge to just $5.   

Venue Notes:  Our event will be held in the event space at Big Whisky Grill. There is ample parking available in the mall parking lot.  The restaurant will be closed to the public but their full bar will be open for separate purchases (purchases must be made at the bar, table service will not be available).  And here’s a teaser — check out the wall of whisky!
