We are very excited to invite you to our February event at Chez Max — the 2019 Richmond Times Dispatch WINNER for both Best Chef and Best First Date Spot and RUNNER-UP for Best Restaurant and Best Hidden Gem! We will enjoy award-winning, classical French cuisine paired expertly with wines from France.

Reception begins at 6:00 pm with a glass of Pol Clement sparkling wine while mingling with other guests.  The meeting/dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.


Venue Notes:  Plenty of parking is available in the restaurant’s parking lot off of Patterson Ave.  

1st Course   

Patient Cottat Sauvignon Blanc (Loire, FR) will be served with Tuna Tartare

Diced Wild-Caught Ahi Tuna bathed in Olive Oil and Lemon with Capers and Shallots.  Horseradish Saffron Aioli and Potato Gaufrette

2nd Course

Vincent Girardin Cuvee Vincent Bourgogne Blanc served with Salmon Beurre Blanc

Sautéed Salmon topped with a Classical French Butter Sauce

Main Course

Vincent Girardin Cuvee Vincent Bourgogne Rouge — Pinot Noir — paired with Duck a L’Orange

Pan-seared​ Maple Leaf Farms White Pekin Duck.  Crisped Skin.  Breast sliced Thin.  Topped with a Classical French l’Orange Sauce


La Fleur d’Or Sauternes  – Sauterne — paired with Tarte Vielle France

Apple and Peach Tarte made with Almond Butter served with Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate and Caramel Sauce
