Members and guests are invited to join us at Tavern 19 for our October event. We will be treated to a delectable dinner prepared by Chef Michael Hall — former owner & chef at Spoonbread Bistro and Spoonbread Bistro Deux (we’ve had events at both!) and our very own wine director, Kat Aldrich, will provide the night’s wine education. We are thrilled to have her back in front of the group, seems like it’s been forever.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm and you can enjoy a glass of bubbly while mingling with other guests. The meeting/dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.
Venue Notes: Parking is available in the golf club parking lot.
First course-
Maine lobster, chervil and celery leaf salad with California avocado and orange scented vinaigrette
– Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, NZ)
Second course-
Brown butter seared sea scallops with foie gras cream spinach and white potato puree sauce marsala reduction
– Diora Chardonnay (Monterey, CA)
Third Course-
Grilled aged prime beef tenderloin with wild mushroom bread pudding squash medley and veal demi-glaze
– Bieler “Born to Run” Cabernet (CA/OR)
Dessert –
Deconstructed apple strussel with caramel swirls
-SA Prum “Essence” Riesling (Mosel, Germany)
