Celebrate Virginia Wines at Virginia Museum of History & Culture

October is Virginia Wine Month, and in the midst of making plans for celebrating Virginia wines, we learned about a great event being hosted by the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC). The event includes wine selections from some of Virginia’s best wineries and vineyards, live jazz, food trucks, and access to Cheers, Virginia!, the museum’s newest exhibit focused on the history of brewing, distilling, and fermenting in Virginia. You’ve heard the phrase “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em,” right? Well we couldn’t plan a better event than this, so we’re joining them and we hope you’ll join us too! 

The event will be at VMHC on Saturday, October 15th.  Below are some things to know. To avoid additional PayPal fees, your ticket purchases will be made directly from VMHC. If you are a member of VMHC, you can purchase tickets at the discounted member rate. (Click here to purchase tickets)  We encourage you to purchase early in case they sell out!

• This is an outdoor event, rain or shine.
• Attendees are encouraged to bring your own chairs or blankets.
• Attendees are encouraged to bring guests or spouses/partners. i.e., this is a coed event
• WWS will have a small table set up so that attendees can have a designated area to meet up with friends, but otherwise, we intend to just come and go as we please to enjoy the festivities.  No formal gatherings are planned.
•  All tickets include:
  • Free evening admission to the museum, including access to Cheers, Virginia!
  • Unlimited samples
  • Commemorative tasting glass
  • Access to live music and food concessions (food purchases are not included in ticket price)
• Ticketing policies are listed on the VMHC website, we encourage you to read them.  (Click here for ticket purchases and policies) Ticket sales are final and non-transferable.
• Attendees must be 21 years of age or older and all guests must have a ticket.
• No coolers, pets, or outside food or drink are permitted.

VMHC Non-Member Price:   $32 (Early Bird), $35 after 10/2
