Members and Friends, please join us at Bar West on September 22nd to help us celebrate the arrival of Fall! When we first visited in early 2023, the owners of Bar West, two of whom are executive chefs with backgrounds in fine dining had just rebranded the former Cocodrilo venue with their new Bar West concept. We thoroughly enjoyed our event then and are very excited to return.

Weather permitting, our hosts would like to open the patio around 5:00 for anyone who wants to start the evening with some patio time by the fireplace.  Their bar will be open for cocktail or wine purchases. Doors open for our typical ‘welcome sparkling’ around 6:00 pm.

Menu has been updated as of 9/10/25. Our menu for the evening includes:

1st Course 

Vidalia Onion Bisque

Marinated Rock shrimp | Lemongrass | Birds Eye Chile

Paired with New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc

2nd Course:

Prosciutto Wrapped Monkfish

Castelvetrano | Beurre Blanc | Cured Lemon | Dill

Paired with Provence Rose

3rd Course:

Short Rib & Polenta Ravioli

Red Wine and Balsamic Jus | Parmesan | Parsnip | Sage

Paired with TBD

Dessert:

Orange Blossom Olive Oil Cake

Vanilla Bean Meringue | Candied Almonds | Sour Cherry

Paired with TBD

Venue Notes:  If you wish, you can arrive early (5:00-ish) and enjoy their lovely patio and fireplace.  Bar will be open for cocktail or wine purchases.  The event will begin around 6:00 pm with a little sparkling wine while we catch up with each other.  The meeting and dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 pm.  The restaurant is closed to the public on Mondays, so we will have the place to ourselves and we are looking forward to having WWS Wine Director, Kat Morgan, on hand to present the wines!
