October is “Wine Month” in Virginia and this year marks Virginia’s 30th anniversary — from 40 wineries in 1988 to 280 wineries today!  Virginia’s seafood business is also booming — especially oysters.  To celebrate the best of both that Virginia has to offer, the Women’s Wine Society is HITTING THE ROAD!

We have planned a Saturday trip to Gauthier Winery in New Kent County and Good Luck Cellars in Kilmarnock — an estate winery in Virginia’s historic Northern Neck.  We will enjoy wine tastings at both venues and — weather permitting — a picnic lunch on the deck of Good Luck Cellars catered by Byrd Seafood.  Lunch will feature Crab Chowder, Fried Oysters, Choice of Oyster or braised Beef Tacos and Dessert.  (a vegetarian option will be available)

Here are the details!
